Sawtooth Mountains Mini Travel Guide
The Sawtooth Range, located about 3 hours from Boise, Idaho, are some of the most underrated views in the United States in my opinion. This range has so much to offer including countless stunning lakes, hikes & scenic drives. Here are some of the top spots to check out!
1. Redfish Lake — this lake is STUNNING! There are jagged mountains right in view if you post up on the beach. In the summer you’ll find boaters, jet skiers, paddle boarders & kayakers passing by. There are many sandy areas to set up and catch some rays!
2. Hiking to Alice Lake is amazing! One of the prettiest lakes I’ve ever seen in the U.S. Around 12 miles round trip, this hike is well worth it. Many people backpack in and camp at the top, as there are many places to set up camp!
3. Pettit Lake campground is a great location but often times in the summer it’s full, since it’s first come first serve. But I was pleasantly surprised to find some great legal & free camp sites nearby. If you see a man made fire pit, that is considered a spot. There are rivers and creeks around that provide that peaceful white noise at night!
Hope you enjoy your trip!
