Little Things

#littlethings We got married 2017, became foster parents in 2018. Became Business owners in 2019, we went through 100 pound weight loss together, and prayed our way through our daughter’s fight with cancer (H2) in 2024 until the battle was won. We continue on as foster parents, and God blessed us more, ( new son in law, and my husband is now a Pastor. #fostergrant

Reflecting on our family’s journey reminds me how the little things often have the biggest impact. From the day we got married in 2017, through every challenge and milestone, it was the everyday moments of support and faith that carried us forward. Becoming foster parents in 2018 brought unique joys and trials. It taught us patience, unconditional love, and the power of opening our hearts and home. Balancing this with starting a business in 2019 tested our teamwork and dedication, but it also strengthened our bond. One of our proudest shared achievements was our 100-pound weight loss journey. It wasn’t just about physical change—it was a testament to commitment and mutual encouragement. It reminded us that working together, no challenge is insurmountable. Our daughter’s fight with cancer in 2024 was the toughest chapter. Walking through that battle alongside her, with prayer and hope, revealed resilience we didn’t know we had. The victory felt like the culmination of every prayer, every late night, and every moment of faith. Continuing as foster parents brings ongoing fulfillment, as does witnessing our family grow with a new son-in-law and my husband’s calling as a Pastor. These blessings, big and small, are the fabric of our life’s story. My experience taught me that embracing life’s little things—the daily struggles, the simple joys, the shared faith—creates a foundation strong enough to overcome even the most daunting challenges. I hope our story encourages others to find strength in their own journey, whatever it may bring.
