In Rememberance
For seven years, I had the privilege of a lifetime serving as CEO of @habitatlehighvalley. People would regularly stop and ask me if I knew Mr. Carter. Unfortunately, I didn’t, but he inspired me as a visionary and warrior for social justice.
He did so much as an advocate for affordable housing… which was just one of causes he supported.
Although his critics might say that he did not rise to the occasion of being an exceptional President , he far exceeded expectations about how to live his life as a citizen of the world. a true humanitarian.
During times like these, it is important to remember that it is our humanity and our ability to support other people that creates the real legacy in our lives.
President Carter, you will be so missed. I hope your light shines and gives us hope for a better future.
