Life has a way of convincing us that our struggles are unique, but the truth is that every person carries burdens. Every individual has a cross to bear. Jesus Himself said, "Whoever does not take up their cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me" (Matthew 10:38). The details may differ, but everyone is fighting battles, facing disappointments, carrying wounds, and walking through seasons they never would have chosen.
It is easy to look at someone else's life and assume they have it easier, but there are people who would gladly trade places with you and carry the very burdens you are trying to escape. What feels overwhelming to you may look like a blessing to someone else. Gratitude does not remove our problems, but it helps us recognize God's provision in the midst of them.
Hope is the ember that ignites the flame of faith. Before faith can stand, hope must first believe that God is still working. Scripture reminds us, "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful" (Hebrews 10:23). Hope whispers that your story is not over. Faith responds by taking another step forward.
There is nothing wrong with feeling anxious, tired, frustrated, discouraged, or weary. Even God's servants experienced those emotions. David cried out in distress. Elijah became exhausted and discouraged. Paul spoke openly about his hardships. Yet none of them were called to quit. They were called to trust God through the struggle. "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" (Galatians 6:9).
Be careful about the voices you listen to. Every thought that enters your mind is not from God. Every whisper in your ear is not the Holy Spirit. Sometimes the voice is your own fear, insecurity, or past wounds speaking. Sometimes it is the influence of a broken world trying to pull your attention away from God's truth. The Holy Spirit will always lead you toward truth, conviction, wisdom, peace, and obedience to God's Word. That is why we are commanded to "take every thought captive to obey Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:5).
When life becomes heavy, do not surrender to despair. Bring your burdens to the Lord, cling to His promises, and keep moving forward one step at a time. You may be tired, but do not quit. You may be wounded, but do not lose hope. You may not understand what God is doing, but trust that He is still working. The same God who carried you this far will carry you the rest of the way.
To put it simply...There's a difference between Going THROUGH some $#!t and Being IN some $#!t. One you're just pass through and can clean yourself off once you learned your lesson and reached your goal. The other, you're anchored in place and not moving forward.
