It's a drama-comedy, but let's be real... this is my kind of dark humor. 😂
This single mom stayed on her son's neck 24/7 and never let that man forget where he came from. Didn't matter what he accomplished—she was always ready with a reminder about his humble beginnings. 🤣
Now, I'm usually not a comedy person. Most comedies get a smirk out of me and that's about it. But this one had me thinking about a friend of mine. The first time we kicked it, they had me laughing so hard I was choking... repeatedly. I was fighting for oxygen and laughing at the same time.
What really sold me, though, was the underdog story. Underneath all the jokes, you've got a story about people trying to make something out of nothing, taking hits, getting back up, and finding a way to win.
The humor won't be for everybody, but if you appreciate a little darkness mixed with your comedy and enjoy rooting for the underdog, this one is definitely worth a watch.
Funny, twisted, and surprisingly heartfelt. My kind of movie.

The film’s depiction of seven relatives—Glen, Margaret, Jessica, Bill, Zach, Topher, and others—entangled in a high-stakes battle, adds layers of complexity to the story’s humor and tension.
What resonated with me deeply was how the movie explores the theme of relentless persistence. The single mother character constantly grounds her son by reminding him of his humble beginnings, which reflects a real-life dynamic many can relate to. It’s both comedic and touching how those family ties, debates, and conflicts create a surprisingly heartfelt narrative.
From a personal viewpoint, the movie’s blend of dark comedy and drama reminded me of moments where humor helps cope with life's toughest struggles. Sometimes, laughter is the best way to approach a grim situation, and this movie captures that balance brilliantly.
If you’re intrigued by stories of underdogs rising against overwhelming odds, mixed with family drama and sharp wit, this film’s unique tone and cast will likely keep you engaged. Plus, the quirky characters named in the film add an extra flavor, making it more than just a comedy or drama, but a story about what lengths people will go to secure their future and legacy.
For viewers who appreciate complex characters and emotional depth beneath their comedy, this movie stands out as a fine example of that genre blend.
