Whether it's physical pain, mental pain, emotional pain, or spiritual pain... pain hurts.
And let's be honest... some pain doesn't just tap you on the shoulder. It body-slams you. It steals your focus, interrupts your sleep, drains your energy, and has you staring at the ceiling at 3 a.m. wondering if things will ever get better.
One thing I've learned is this: nobody has the right to tell you how you should feel about what hurt you.
People will say, "Get over it."
People will say, "It wasn't that bad."
People will say, "Just move on."
Meanwhile, they're not carrying what you're carrying.
Even in Scripture, God never mocked people's pain. Jesus wept. David cried out. Job questioned everything. God understands that pain is real.
But here's the good news...
Pain may visit, but it doesn't get to move in and pay rent.
The season you're in is not the story's ending.
Psalm 30:5 says, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."
So cry if you need to cry.
Pray when you can pray.
Rest when you're tired.
Lean on God when your strength is running low.
And if all you can do today is take one more step forward, then take that step like a champion. 💪🏾
This too shall pass.
The pain is temporary.
God is still faithful.
And your morning is coming. 🙏🏾
