Whether it's physical pain, mental pain, emotional pain, or spiritual pain... pain hurts.

And let's be honest... some pain doesn't just tap you on the shoulder. It body-slams you. It steals your focus, interrupts your sleep, drains your energy, and has you staring at the ceiling at 3 a.m. wondering if things will ever get better.

One thing I've learned is this: nobody has the right to tell you how you should feel about what hurt you.

People will say, "Get over it."

People will say, "It wasn't that bad."

People will say, "Just move on."

Meanwhile, they're not carrying what you're carrying.

Even in Scripture, God never mocked people's pain. Jesus wept. David cried out. Job questioned everything. God understands that pain is real.

But here's the good news...

Pain may visit, but it doesn't get to move in and pay rent.

The season you're in is not the story's ending.

Psalm 30:5 says, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."

So cry if you need to cry.

Pray when you can pray.

Rest when you're tired.

Lean on God when your strength is running low.

And if all you can do today is take one more step forward, then take that step like a champion. 💪🏾

This too shall pass.

The pain is temporary.

God is still faithful.

And your morning is coming. 🙏🏾

... Read morePain is something everyone faces, whether it's a sudden toothache in the middle of the night or deep emotional struggles. From personal experience, I can say that acknowledging your pain rather than dismissing it is the first step toward healing. The mention of experiencing pain at 3 a.m., like waking up to relentless tooth pain, resonates with how pain can disrupt not only our bodies but our peace of mind. In my own journey, leaning on a higher power, as the article suggests, was incredibly helpful. When I felt drained or overwhelmed, prayer and meditation offered moments of calm. It’s important to remember that pain doesn’t define us; it’s just a season. This mindset shift helped me take one step at a time, much like the advice to move forward "like a champion." I also found comfort in small rituals that helped manage pain — whether it was gentle stretching, listening to calming music, or journaling my feelings late at night when the world was quiet. Just like how scripture acknowledges human suffering without judgement, it’s crucial we treat ourselves with patience and compassion. Lastly, the quote from Psalm 30:5 about joy coming in the morning reminds me that even the darkest nights have an end. If you are experiencing pain right now, know that it’s temporary and that brighter days lie ahead. Taking care of your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being alongside physical health can make a significant difference in your recovery and outlook.
