Little Five Points PT2
I finally made my way over to Little Five Points, and honestly... I don't know how I feel about it. 😂
At one point in my life, this probably would've been my type of vibe. Now? Let's just say I've aged into a different tax bracket of interests. Not better... just different.
I'm pretty sure this area was first in line when Georgia started handing out dispensary permits. The whole place smells like freedom, hemp, and somebody's cousin trying to explain the meaning of life. 🤣
What's funny is the area somehow feels clean and dirty at the exact same time. I can't explain it. It's like somebody swept the sidewalk but left the weirdness untouched.
The pizza was good... but let's be honest, most pizza is good. Pizza has never been one of those foods that makes me start speaking in tongues. I don't hate it, but I'm not standing in line for an hour talking about "this changed my life" either.
Little Five also reminded me that I need to expand my definition of "eclectic." This place doesn't whisper "tree hugger"... it grabs a megaphone and screams it. 😂
Now don't get me wrong, I believe God gave us stewardship over the earth (Genesis 2:15), but I'm never going to be a hardcore environmentalist. I like bleach too much. Some folks cleaning with orange peels, lavender mist, and positive energy. Me? I want whatever Moses would've used on the tenth plague. If it doesn't kill 99.9% of germs, I'm suspicious. 🤣🤣🤣
And can we talk about the surprise of the day? I had no idea The Clermont Hotel is a strip club. With a woman that's been working there for 30yrs, 😑. Here I was thinking I was just going for rooftop drinks and a view. Meanwhile, Little Five Points said, "Welcome to Atlanta history class."
Overall, it was a cool experience. Not somewhere I'd hang out every weekend, but it was definitely worth seeing. Sometimes God will take you places not because they're your destination, but just to remind you how much you've grown. And judging by Little Five Points... I've grown a lot. 😂🙌🏾
