I've been to this church before, but if I'm being honest, the main reason was because they had an 8 a.m. service. Back then I was looking for a place to attend. Now I'm looking for a place to grow. My walk with God is a lot more intentional these days, so I wanted to come back and see it with fresh eyes and a different mindset.
The first thing that caught me off guard was walking into the lobby hearing Ludacris' "Throw Them Bows." 😂 Listen... that is not what I expected to hear on my way to worship. I don't know if I was confused, entertained, or impressed. Maybe all three. But I can't lie... I think I liked it,🤣. I don't sit around listening to gospel music all day, 🤷🏽♂️.
The church feels small enough to actually get to know people, but big enough to blend in if you're not feeling extra social that day. They have multiple locations too. At this point, churches are starting to look like franchises. "Would you like a sermon with that?" 😂
One thing I noticed is the crowd is a little older, which honestly doesn't bother me since I'm 49yrs old. As Proverbs says, there's wisdom in experience. Also, the male-to-female ratio seems pretty balanced. Early morning services seem to attract a lot of couples. Maybe the married folks figured out what Jesus meant when He said, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God"—and apparently seek it before breakfast too. 🙌🏾

What stood out most to me was how the church embraces modern elements like playing Ludacris’ "Throw Them Bows" in the lobby—something unexpected yet captivating that enriches the worship experience without losing spiritual focus.
The multiple locations and active Bible study sessions on different days showcase Berean’s commitment to meeting diverse needs within the community. Whether you’re looking for a small-group feel or a larger congregation, there’s a welcoming place for everyone. I also noticed the congregation’s age diversity, with many attendees 65 and older, reflecting wisdom and deep-rooted faith traditions.
Another highlight is the gender balance and the number of couples attending early morning services, which I found inspiring. It’s clear that many prioritize their spiritual journey first thing in the day, embodying the Scripture from Proverbs and Jesus’ teaching to "seek ye first the Kingdom of God." This dedication creates a supportive atmosphere for couples and individuals alike.
If you’re seeking a church that balances biblical teaching, lively worship, and a community-oriented approach, Berean Christian Church invites you warmly. Their events like the Women’s Ministry Expo and ongoing bible studies emphasize practical application and local as well as global witnessing. This church shows how faith communities can grow intentionally while remaining relevant and approachable in today’s world.
