Why is self made culture wrong? ✝️💯

💭 The world tells us to be self-made — to hustle harder, depend on no one, and take all the credit when we succeed. But the truth is, without God, none of it would even be possible.

Every door that opened, every talent we have, every breath we take — all come from Him. The “self-made” culture feeds pride, but faith reminds us that everything we build should rest on His foundation, not ours. 🙏

When we start giving ourselves all the glory, we forget the One who gave us the ability to even try. Scripture says,

🕊️ “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” — John 15:5

So let’s flip the script. We’re not self-made — we’re God-made. Every victory, every breakthrough, every blessing belongs to Him.

... Read moreMany people today glorify the concept of being "self-made," celebrating individual hustle and personal achievements as if they occur in isolation. However, this perspective often ignores the profound truth that no success happens independently—whether through talents, opportunities, or even sheer existence, everything stems from a higher power. The OCR content from the article's images reinforces this by highlighting the message "Why Self Made Culture is wrong and why you should give all the glory to GOD," reminding us that attributing all accomplishments solely to ourselves can lead to pride and a distorted view of reality. In practical terms, recognizing this shifts our mindset from self-centeredness to gratefulness. It teaches humility and dependence on God's grace, as reflected in John 15:5: "Apart from Me you can do nothing." Understanding that "self-made" achievements are actually God-made encourages us to give credit where it is due, fostering spiritual growth and deeper fulfillment. Moreover, this faith-based perspective transforms how we approach success. It encourages us to build our lives on a strong foundation — one that acknowledges God's presence and guidance rather than personal effort alone. This viewpoint not only enhances our appreciation for everyday blessings but also prepares us to handle challenges with resilience, knowing we are supported by divine strength. Socially, rejecting the self-made myth helps reduce toxic competition and pride that can fracture relationships. Instead, adopting a faith-over-pride stance promotes community, shared joy in one another’s victories, and mutual support grounded in spiritual truth. Ultimately, embracing the idea that we are God-made rather than self-made opens doors to a more meaningful and balanced life. It invites us to celebrate our achievements with humility and to continually seek God’s guidance, nurturing our faith and character amidst worldly pursuits.
