I have started project pan so l'm using up all of what I have before buying new...this is what I finished using in August! Most were pretty good! Some being redesigned or discontinued so l'll likely be looking to newer brands to try in the future..the one I'm most likely to repurchase would likely be the Guru Nanda mouthwash!
... Read moreIt's always such a rewarding feeling to finish up products, especially when you're on a project pan journey like I am! My August empties really showed me what works for me and what doesn't. Speaking of what works, let's dive deeper into my absolute favorite discovery from this batch: the Guru Nanda Breath Harmonizer Oral Rinse in Wild Mint. I know, a mouthwash might seem like an odd 'holy grail,' but trust me on this one!
What makes it a 9/10 for me? First off, the 'Wild Mint' flavor is incredibly refreshing without being overly harsh or burning, which I've found with so many other brands. It leaves my mouth feeling genuinely clean and fresh for hours, not just masked. But beyond the immediate freshness, I love that it's non-toxic. Knowing I'm using something with natural ingredients that's good for my oral health, rather than just a cosmetic fix, gives me peace of mind. If you're looking to switch up your oral care routine or just want a truly effective and pleasant mouthwash, I cannot recommend Guru Nanda enough – it’s a definite repurchase for me!
Now, let's talk about some of the other empties that made their way out of my life this August. The CHI Argan Oil with Moringa Oil Blend Conditioner, rated 6/10, was decent. It smelled amazing, which is always a plus for hair products, but my hair tends to be on the drier side after washing. I realized I really need more hydrating leave-in products to follow up with, so while this conditioner was okay, it just wasn't enough on its own. If you have less demanding hair, you might love it for its scent alone!
Then there was the Eva NYC Mane Magic 10-in-1 Split End Mender, which I rated 9/10. This stuff truly made a difference in taming my split ends and making my hair feel smoother. The scent was also a winner! My only disappointment came from realizing the new packaging has less product, which is a bummer when you love something so much. But for its performance, it's still a top contender for managing frizz and breakage.
The OSEA Ocean Cleanser, coming in at a 7.5/10, was interesting. It definitely left my skin feeling clean, almost squeaky clean, which can be a double-edged sword. For my combination skin, I felt it didn't provide the hydration I usually look for in a cleanser. It might be perfect for someone with oilier skin who needs that deep clean, but I'm on the hunt for something that cleanses effectively while keeping my skin barrier happy and hydrated.
Finally, a moment of silence for the "Kiss of Sun" highlighter. Rated 6/10, it was a solid, basic highlighter with a lovely formula that gave a nice glow without being glittery. The real heartbreak here is that it's been discontinued! It just goes to show that if you find a product you truly love, sometimes it's worth stocking up.
My project pan journey continues, and it's taught me so much about mindful consumption and what genuinely adds value to my routine. Finishing these products means I get to explore new options, which is always exciting! What were your recent empties, and which ones would you repurchase?
