Carrying

... Read moreAs a Call of Duty: Warzone player, I swear, it feels like every other match I'm the one dropping 15 kills, calling out enemy positions, and still, there we are, watching the KILLCAM of our last teammate getting wiped out after I've already been SPECTATING for five minutes, hoping for a buy-back that never comes. Or worse, I clutch a 1v3, get us back in the game, only for a teammate to immediately push solo into a high-traffic area and get downed before I can even REDEPLOY PAPACHUTE near them. Then it's just me, trying to navigate the NEW SAFE ZONE alone. It's especially frustrating when you're aiming for that 'W' and end up in WARZONE 7TH PLACE because your squad isn't on the same page. You're trying to communicate, pinging enemies, but they're off looting in a corner or, even worse, not even reacting to enemy pings. I’ve seen some hilarious (and infuriating) moments. Like watching players like 'MaLongBrown1' or '[RP]Astro' make questionable plays on the killcam when you thought they were covering your flank! So, what do you do when you're constantly stuck in 'carry mode'? First, deep breaths! It's just a game, right? (Easier said than done when you're super competitive!) I try to focus on my own gameplay and make the best decisions I can. Sometimes, it means pushing flanks aggressively, hoping to thin out the enemy numbers before my team even catches up. Other times, it means playing more defensively, trying to keep them alive even if they're not contributing much. It’s a delicate balance between trying to lead and not overextending yourself. I've learned to accept that not every game will be a win, especially in public lobbies. But it doesn't stop me from trying my hardest every single time. And honestly, there's a certain satisfaction when you do manage to pull off an insane clutch or carry a struggling team to a decent placement. It makes those 7th places sting a little less, knowing you put in the work. It’s part of the gamer girl grind, right? What are your go-to strategies when you feel like you're perpetually carrying your squad?
