私も以前、野良猫の餌場を作った経験があります。朝と夕方に違う猫たちが訪れる姿は、毎日の楽しみであり癒しでした。黒白の猫は特に警戒心が強く、最初はすぐに逃げてしまったのですが、餌を続けているうちに目を細めてこちらを見つめるようになりました。猫にとって安心できる場所を作るには、無理に触ろうとせず、餌やりを通じて徐々に信頼関係を築くのが大切だと感じました。 また、庭に鳥の残り餌を撒くとスズメなども訪れて楽しかったのですが、猫がいると鳥は警戒して減ってしまうことも実感しました。野良猫が生態系に与える影響についても考えさせられますね。夏場の暑さは猫も人間も厳しいですが、涼しくなると蚊も増えてくるので、餌場の衛生面には気を遣う必要があります。 このような日々の小さな積み重ねが、地域の野良猫たちの生活を助けるきっかけになると思います。皆さんも安全で続けやすい餌場作りを心掛け、猫たちとの穏やかな触れ合いを楽しんでみてはいかがでしょうか？野良猫との関わりは、自然と共生する日常の一コマとして貴重な体験になると感じています。
