Executive World Statement. Iris Scans Are Safe. Do Everything Legal. Have Strictly Care Agency.

World Thailand executives held a press conference to resolve doubts, loosening past misunderstandings and concerns about the human affirmation system.

Bhakpak Tongqin, Thailand manager of Tools For Humanity (TFH), owner of the World Project, and Fabian Bodansteiner, Managing Director of the World Foundation, held a press conference to answer press enquiries about the human iris scanning system.

Wolrd is a global project developed by Alex Blania and Sam Altman. Because of the problems found online that are indistinguishable from AI or bots, World has developed a tool to confirm humanity, not identity, and not personal information.

There are 33 million users worldwide in the United States, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand. 15 to 16 million have been confirmed, 2 million have been registered in Thailand, but 1 million have been confirmed by iris scans.

Why is it open in Thailand?

Thailand has been a target for crooks. More than 168 million scams have been found, with a damage value of 40,000 million baht. A better system is needed to be safe from crooks.

Why scan the iris?

World saw it as the only most effective way to incognito people. No ID or personal information. It started for six years. The study focused on identity concealment. It found that iris scanning prevents deception. The system is highly secure. It focuses on privacy as the heart. It confirms identity with the iris. It is done only on the user's mobile phone. The camera is sophisticated. It only proves humanity. It cannot decipher personal information.

The iris image converted to Iris Code tens of thousands of digits. It is stored as a user's mobile code. It cannot be turned back into an iris image even using a quantum computer. Everything is Open Source, hardware and software, verifiable, released on GitHub, with monitoring companies such as Theori and Trail of Bits monitoring.

All data is stored on the user's mobile phone in PCP format. It consists of Iris Code, iris image and face image. The user can enter the settings to delete all the data. AMPC is still suspended in the system, but cannot be retrieved for identification. It can only be human, because it is a code created by the random system. In case the mobile is hacked, even entering the app, the system is highly secure, cannot be penetrated.

World is Thai legal?

Everything is legal and strictly follows the governing body. Continuously apply for consultation before entering and after entering the service. The main body is the PDPC responsible for PDPA, as well as continually consulting the relevant departments. The issues that arise because the agencies may not have completed the information cause concern. The agencies have issued a warning of safety.

So what did World get with the iris scan?

The main goal is to create a human-centered digital space. Want to create a people-centered network. As the network grows, it will bring more cooperation. More app developers can better use World ID to separate people and bots. In the future, World will generate revenue from charging fees from businesses that connect the system.

Why give money away for what?

But crooks may take advantage of tricking people into scanning the iris. World has three management measures:

Since this technology is new, it takes time to understand, like the first iPhone fingerprint scanning technology, people are afraid to use it to suck money out, but finally, there is nothing. In the future, it is believed that this human verification system will become normal. Some places suspend it, because it is a new technology with unequal understanding, especially local authorities, World, so choose to stop the service first, to be comfortable and spend time explaining it first.
