You know that old saying, “You can’t pour from an empty cup?” Well honey, it’s true. We find ourselves day after day giving so much of ours selves to others. Honey, I am here to tell you, it’s okay to be selfish with you. I know, we all want to be superwoman but it’s okay to ask for help or set boundaries where needed.

I encourage you to find 3-5 things on this list to do for you. Maintaining our mental and emotional state is so important. Don’t run yourself dry doing for others. Enjoy the life you have ✨ Live it to the absolute fullest. And don’t forget to laugh and have fun along the way.

Physical Self-Care: This is about listening to your body. For me, it means finding joy in movement, whether it's a brisk walk, a dance session in my living room, or a relaxing yoga stretch. It also means nourishing my body with good food and getting enough sleep. Prioritizing things like exercise and proper rest is fundamental. What small physical habit can you start today? 2. Social Self-Care: Sometimes we need connection, and other times we need solitude. Social self-care for me involves consciously connecting with loved ones who uplift me, and also knowing when to say 'no' to social plans that drain my energy. It’s about setting boundaries in relationships to protect your peace. 3. Mental Self-Care: Our minds work overtime! Journaling is a huge one for me – it helps me process thoughts and emotions. Reading a good book, learning something new, or even just taking a digital detox can be incredibly refreshing for your mental state. How do you give your mind a break? 4. Emotional Self-Care: This pillar is about acknowledging and processing your feelings without judgment. It could be practicing mindfulness, talking to a trusted friend, or allowing yourself to cry when you need to. Learning to identify what you're feeling and respond with compassion is key to emotional well-being. 5. Environmental Self-Care: Your surroundings impact your mood more than you think! For me, a clean and organized space instantly lifts my spirits. It might also mean spending time in nature, decluttering, or creating a cozy, inspiring corner just for you. How can you make your environment more supportive? 6. Spiritual Self-Care: This doesn't necessarily mean religion; it's about connecting with your inner self and finding meaning. It could be meditation, spending quiet time in reflection, practicing gratitude, or engaging in activities that ignite your sense of purpose. What helps you feel connected? 7. Financial Self-Care: While it might not sound 'fluffy,' feeling secure about your finances reduces a huge amount of stress. This could involve creating a budget, setting financial goals, or just taking steps to understand your money better.
