With Dion & Clarice, cool energy, familiar connections, fellow wedding vendors, and a pre-wedding adventure through KADA ✨
There was something effortlessly cool about Dion & Clarice from the moment we started. They were relaxed, easygoing, and completely open to exploring the space with us — the kind of couple who made the whole shoot feel less like work and more like a fun afternoon spent creating together.
Clarice is a TCM physician, which we thought was incredibly cool. And with both of them being wedding vendors themselves, it meant so much that they chose and trusted us for their pre-wedding shoot. It’s always such an honour when someone from the same industry connects with our work and invites us to document such a meaningful chapter of their story 🤍
The connection felt even more special because Dion and I were from the same batch in NUS Engineering! With so many mutual friends between us, the shoot had this strangely familiar, full-circle feeling — almost like catching up with an old friend, just with cameras involved 😂
We explored KADA together and found so many interesting little corners to photograph, but the highlight had to be its wonderfully old-school lift. It had so much character and gave the session a completely different mood — nostalgic, quirky, and unlike anywhere else we had photographed before.
Dion & Clarice, thank you for trusting us, going along with our ideas, and bringing such cool, easygoing energy to the shoot. We had an amazing time creating these photographs with you, and we’re so glad that our shared connections brought us together for this special season ✨

Read moreDoing a pre-wedding photoshoot in Singapore can be such a rewarding experience, especially when you choose locations that are rich in history and character like the oldest lift at KADA Mall. This kind of setting adds a nostalgic and quirky mood that simply can't be replicated in more typical venues.
From my personal experience working with couples planning their pre-wedding shoots, I’ve noticed that familiar and meaningful locations often bring out the most natural and relaxed expressions. Just like Dion and Clarice, who brought an incredibly easygoing and open spirit to the session, having a connection with the space and the photographer really makes a difference. It turns the shoot into more of an enjoyable adventure than a formal photoshoot.
One tip for couples is to collaborate closely with your photographer on exploring unique spots within a venue. KADA Mall’s old lift is a perfect example of a hidden gem that adds so much texture and visual interest. It creates contrast between the vintage mechanical aesthetic and the couple’s fresh love story, resulting in timeless images.
Also, for couples in the wedding industry or those with shared social circles, like the connection between Dion and the photographer from their NUS Engineering days, this familiarity can create a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Trust is key, and feeling comfortable can be seen in every shot.
Finally, pre-wedding shoots are a valuable opportunity to capture not only the love story but also the personality and journey of the couple. Whether it’s a TCM physician or creative wedding vendors, their individual stories add layers of meaning to the photographs.
For those considering KADA Mall or other heritage spots in Singapore for your pre-wed, embrace the quirks and character of the location. It will definitely help create a unique narrative and stunning visuals for your wedding memories.
