Project Pan Update 9/21/25

I started project pan in the beginning of the year and haven’t quite kept up with taking inventory.

I know I made an impact through it because I have documented my empties and already had to empty for more space half way through the year.

Which later I learned you can take your empties to places like Ulta where they have a beauty drop-off Bin.

Yet, I still find a way to buy more. It’s legitimately wild to think I have the urge to go to the store for something when I can shop my own inventory.

Lemon8 won’t let you post more than 10 photos. I wanted to show more like makeup removers, hypochlorous acid sprays, lotions, body washes etc.

But More importantly what I’m actually using now.

There have been some products where I have gave away to family and coworkers & I have also donated. Now I’m being more creative with the already open products. Uses such as a mud mask but why not use it on full body? Toners- use them up on my armpits. Moisturizer you don’t like use it on your hands and body.

Love to hear if anyone else is doing this.

Comment if you are doing a project pan.

... Read moreProject Pan is a fantastic way to not only declutter your beauty collection but also to encourage mindful consumption and creativity with your products. Beyond standard use, incorporating unusual applications can extend your skincare products' lifespan and enhance your routine. For example, facial toners, often designed for the face, can surprisingly be effective when applied to underarms to refresh and soothe skin, especially after shaving or workouts. Similarly, mud masks can offer benefits beyond the face—using them as a full-body treatment can help detoxify and improve skin texture overall. Empties are a great indicator of skincare progress, and many stores, like Ulta, provide beauty drop-off bins where you can responsibly recycle your used containers. This approach not only helps the environment but also encourages you to track usage and be intentional with new purchases. If you’re tempted to shop despite having plenty at home, consider organizing your inventory by product type—cleansers, exfoliators, serums, moisturizers, and sunscreens—making it easier to find and use items before buying more. Donating excess or unwanted products to family, coworkers, or charitable organizations is another helpful strategy. This allows products to be loved by others and prevents unnecessary waste. Additionally, sharing your project pan journey with others online or in communities can provide motivation, tips, and new ideas. Hearing stories from those who transform their routines and creatively repurpose products fosters a sense of camaraderie and inspiration. To maximize your project pan, try tracking your progress with photos or journals, staying mindful of expiry dates, and experimenting with layering products to refresh old favorites. This holistic approach not only saves money but encourages sustainability and self-care.
