The CPU notebook ran only 399MHz when plugged in charging! 💻⚡ Almost desperate, but solved in the easiest way!

Hello, my friends, Lemon8 🍋, today I would like to share my experience of solving notebook problems that have caused headaches for many days. In case anyone has a similar problem, they will not get lost like me!

🚨 Initial symptoms:

All of a sudden, my notebook was very slow and stale, kind of barely working, and when the check program was shocked! Because the CPU speed was only at 399 MHz, and it was usually supposed to run at a much higher speed (about 4.0 GHz).

🕵️‍♂️ The mission to hunt for the rootstock (tried but unsuccessful):

I started to pursue the most likely step problem, but the result was..It's all out!

* Task Manager: See SSD and RAM usage, still not 100% full run. Cut the bottleneck from the program. ❌

* Solve that software: Try Format and then down all new Windows (both Windows 10 and 11)...Still not healed. ❌

* Hardware Upgrade: I thought the HDD might be old, so I invested in buying a brand new SSD...Still not healed. ❌

* Solve heating: I thought the machine might be too hot, so I managed to unpack the machine to clean the fan and apply all the new CPU cooling silicone...And yes, sir. It's not recovered! 😭

💡 The turning point of the story!

I sat desperately for a while and noticed a strange behavior...

* All slow symptoms will occur "only when plugging in the charging cable"!

* But when "take off the charger" and use the battery power, the CPU speed rises back to normal!

When I found this, some Oh! The problem was definitely about the power system or charging. At first, I was prepared to order a new adapter, but then I thought that..."Let's check what's easiest and closest to yourself first?"

🎯 I found it! The root of all the problems!

I tried to look at the "charging cable plug" of a notebook nearby, and finally found it! The pin axis in the middle of the charging hole is "crooked"!

Presumably, when the pin is distorted, it makes incomplete contact with the charging head, the notebook's system detects a malfunction of the power system and orders "CPU speed limit" for the safety of the machine.

🔧 Solution (so easy):

I took a small, rigid device (in the clip, apparently the tip of a needle) and carefully bent the crooked pin axis back straight...And let's plug the charger in again.

🎉 Results:

It's like death and rebirth! All the long-fought problems are over. The CPU speed is back to full speed, everything is the same!
