Things to do near me
Everyone always complaints about how boring Connecticut is so here are just a few fun things to do/places to go
1. Kent falls: one of my favorite hiking spots honestly such a beautiful waterfall, but be prepared for a lot of steps.
2. Dunkin Park: depending on the weather, Duncan Park is a fun place to catch a game or go to a fundraiser.
3. The Big E. I feel like everyone in New England already knows about the big E, but it is one of the best fairs of the season. Different houses with food representing each of the New England states, petting zoos and lots of other things to do.
3. Cat cafe. There are a few different cat cafés around Connecticut and they are always so much fun to go to and possibly adopt.
4. The casino: everyone thinks you have to be 21 year-old plus enjoy the casinos but I honestly prefer going to the restaurants then gambling. You can go to the hells kitchen restaurant or Krispy Kreme or many other.
5. The aquarium: Connecticut is lucky enough to have multiple amazing aquariums. Personally, I prefer the Maritime aquarium just because there’s also different animals that you don’t find typically in an aquarium such as bats.
I understand why some people think Connecticut is such a boring state, but there are a few fun things to do.
