Eating my fruit salad has truly made a difference, and I want to share why it's become my secret weapon for a healthy glow. While each fruit brings its own magic, combining them in a fruit salad creates a fantastic synergy for your skin. Think of it as a super-charged cocktail of vitamins, antioxidants, and hydration all working together. For example, my go-to salad often includes kiwi, packed with Vitamin C to brighten and regulate sebum, alongside strawberries, which are rich in antioxidants and salicylic acid – great for treating acne and brightening! Then there's raspberry, a true hero with its high antioxidants, promoting collagen and even protecting against sun damage. It's also super anti-inflammatory, helping to soothe irritated skin. One of the coolest things I've learned is how these fruits contribute to strengthening your skin barrier. Our skin barrier is like our body's protective shield, keeping moisture in and irritants out. When it's strong, your skin looks smoother, feels softer, and is less prone to issues. Fruits are loaded with nutrients that directly support this. For instance, the Vitamin C in apples and blackberries helps with collagen production, which is crucial for skin elasticity and firmness.
