I Built Minecraft’s SAFEST Chest!
Hey fellow Stoneblock 4 adventurers! You know how crucial it is to protect your precious resources and high-tier gear in this modpack, especially with all the unique challenges it throws at you. Just building a simple chest won't cut it. That's why I've spent countless hours perfecting my own 'fortified containment device' designs, taking inspiration from the 'safest chest' concepts and adapting them for Stoneblock 4's unique mechanics. First off, the key to any robust containment is deception and layers of defense. Forget just locking a door; we're talking about making it an 'impossible' task for anyone but you to access. My go-to strategy starts with a hidden entrance, often disguised as part of the terrain. Then, immediately after, I incorporate strategically placed Invisible pressure plates. These are fantastic because they trigger traps without giving away their presence. Think about leading an unsuspecting intruder onto a patch of soul sand (making them extremely slow, as mentioned in the original build) or, even better, into a 'parkour' challenge that's rigged to drop them into the void or onto a Monster Spawner that I've activated to deter them. For the core of the containment, I heavily rely on Redstone ingenuity. Simple Stone Buttons and Pistons can create elaborate locking mechanisms or even false floors. What I've found works wonders is a series of hidden doors that require a very specific, non-obvious sequence to open, making it virtually impenetrable. The more complex the redstone, the harder it is for someone to bypass, especially if they're in a hurry. Now, for the actual storage! Inside all these elaborate defenses, your ultimate 'safest chest' should be a Shulker Box. Why? Because even if someone somehow breaches your outer defenses, they still have to contend with opening the Shulker Box itself, giving you extra time or making it harder to grab multiple items. I also love to add an unexpected layer of living defense: my Bee Nest. Placing a few furious bees ready to swarm any unauthorized visitor is surprisingly effective and hilarious to watch. Finally, consider using Barrier blocks to create truly 'impossible' jumps or to block off escape routes once an intruder is trapped. These are fantastic for funneling them exactly where you want them to go. You can scale these ideas from 'Easy' security for basic items to 'Impossible' protection for your most valuable Stoneblock 4 treasures. Trust me, with these layers, no YouTuber – or any other player – will be getting their hands on your hard-earned loot!
