Starting my journey as a first-year teacher has been both exciting and challenging. One thing I quickly realized is how crucial having the right classroom supplies is to foster an environment where students feel supported and motivated to learn. I created a classroom wishlist on Amazon, featuring items ranging from organizational charts and planners to motivational stickers and essential teaching tools like glue sticks, timers, and laminators. These items not only help in daily classroom management but also inspire creativity and engagement among students. For example, having a 13-pocket daily schedule chart has streamlined our day, helping students know what to expect next and reducing downtime. Motivational stickers have become a great way to celebrate their efforts and achievements, boosting their confidence. Additionally, classroom timers aid in maintaining focus during different activities, making transitions smoother. I also included essential hygiene and cleaning supplies like disinfecting wipes to keep our classroom safe and healthy, especially important these days. The wishlist reflects the practical needs in my San Francisco classroom, aiming to build a positive, productive space for every child. I encourage anyone interested in supporting education to consider contributing to classroom wishlists like mine. How I keep my classroom organized as a teacher
