March Reading Recap

In March, I dove into an exciting array of books that spanned various genres, although contemporary romance clearly outshone fantasy this month. Starting with 'Heartless' and 'Flawless,' both by Elsie Silver, these engaging reads have received high praise for their relatable characters and captivating plots. Readers were particularly fond of the emotional depth and humor encompassed in these narratives. On the fantasy front, 'The Witches of Bone Hill' and 'Emily Wild's Encyclopedia of Faeries' left much to be desired, as their slower pacing and convoluted storylines led to mixed reviews. While some readers appreciate gothic vibes and thematic elements of sisterhood, others found the execution lacking. Contemporary romance, however, flourished, as evident from 'The Unhoneymooners' and 'Love Theoretically,' which garnered attention for their witty dialogue and romantic tension. Contrasts among different reader experiences illustrate the subjective nature of book enjoyment. Each month presents an opportunity to discover new stories and perspectives; March was no exception, highlighting the ever-evolving tastes within the reading community.
