We’re so excited to welcome Sheltie Rescue of Central Indiana to Waggin’ in the Woods! 🌲🐶 They’ll be bringing donated dog-related merchandise, gift baskets, and plenty of Sheltie love to the event. 💛

Sheltie Rescue has been doing amazing work helping this sweet and loyal breed find safe, happy homes FOR 30 YEARS 🥳— and we’re proud to have them join our rescue community for the day.

Waggin’ in the Woods is more than just a community event—it's a celebration of dedicated animal rescue work, especially highlighting Sheltie Rescue of Central Indiana's impressive 30-year commitment to saving and rehoming these affectionate, intelligent dogs. Beyond supporting this amazing breed, the event offers a variety of engaging activities such as a Pooch Parade, microchipping services, nail trims, and a dog agility course, making it an ideal day out for dog lovers and families. The location, Elkhart Environmental Center, provides a beautiful, dog-friendly setting to explore alongside your furry friends. Local pet vendors will be present, offering everything from food trucks and pet care products to unique dog-related merchandise and gift baskets, many donated to support the rescue efforts. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations including dog food, beds, toys, treats, leashes, collars, crates, bowls, or gift cards—donations can also be made online via the rescue's Amazon wishlist. This event is free to attend, with suggested donations welcomed to help continue the vital rescue work. Additionally, visitors will have the chance to meet adoptable Shelties, offering a wonderful opportunity to find a loyal companion while supporting a trustworthy rescue group. It's important for all guests to keep their dogs leashed to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
