I couldn’t focus while studying… so I built this a

I used to sit down to study with full motivation…

Laptop open.

Notes ready.

Coffee on the desk.

But somehow after 10 minutes…

I was scrolling TikTok, checking messages, or doing anything except studying.

I tried different productivity apps, but most of them felt complicated or distracting.

So I decided to build something simple.

That’s how Tracklyst was born.

Tracklyst is a focus and study timer app designed to help you stay locked in while studying or working.

You can:

• Start a focus timer

• Track your study sessions

• Stay accountable for your productivity

It’s like having a small system that reminds you:

“Stay focused. Just one session at a time.”

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t studying…

It’s staying focused long enough to start.

That’s exactly why I built Tracklyst.

3/11 Edited to

... Read moreI’ve often found myself in the exact same situation—sitting down to study fully prepared but quickly losing focus within minutes. The temptation to check social media or messages is incredibly strong, especially with apps designed to be so engaging. What I realized is that many productivity apps are either too complicated or end up adding to the distraction rather than reducing it. That’s why the simplicity of Tracklyst is so refreshing. Using a timer-based method, similar to the Pomodoro technique, Tracklyst encourages you to break your study time into manageable focus sessions. It’s amazing how setting a clear timeframe to work intensely, followed by breaks, helps improve concentration. This system makes starting easier and creates a rhythm that your brain can adapt to. Personally, I found that keeping track of my study sessions gave me a sense of accomplishment and accountability. Seeing my progress recorded over time motivated me to stay consistent. Also, the app’s minimal design meant fewer interruptions, allowing me to focus solely on my notes and tasks without getting overwhelmed by numerous features. For students and busy professionals alike, using an app like Tracklyst can be a game-changer. It helps you build the critical habit of sustained focus, which is often the hardest part of studying or working effectively. If distractions frequently break your concentration, trying out a simple focus timer might be just what you need to start making meaningful progress one session at a time.
