Hello everybody!
As a huge fan of animated movies, learning about the massive effort behind Disney’s Encanto truly amazed me. It took over 800 talented individuals working from home during the pandemic to bring the entire world of Encanto to life. This wasn’t just about animation; the team also crafted authentic costumes, plant life, and even the architecture based on Colombia’s culture and environment. I appreciate how much dedication went into making Encanto feel genuine and respectful of Colombian traditions. The artists didn’t just imagine the setting—they researched and recreated the homes, clothing, and surroundings meticulously. This shows in the richness of details visible throughout the movie, making it an immersive experience. From my perspective, this remote collaboration during unprecedented times is inspiring. It highlights how creativity and teamwork can transcend physical distance. I found it interesting that each second of the movie — every frame — involved so much digital drawing and computerizing, all coordinated from the safety of artists’ own homes. If you’re curious about animation or Disney films, knowing about this enormous behind-the-scenes effort adds a new appreciation for the artistry involved. It also reflects how the entertainment industry adapted innovatively during the pandemic to keep bringing magic to audiences worldwide. For anyone interested in cultural authenticity in media, Encanto sets a great example of combining art, technology, and respect for cultural heritage to create something memorable and meaningful.
