Advice I would tell college freshman
Going into my senior year I look back and thought I wish I could tell myself some of these things. And yes they are very cliche but they are important!!
1. I think girls assume that since they join a sorority they will immediately make friends. This is not the case. Yes, I made friends on my first day but I didn’t meet my bestfriends until November. BE PATIENT!!
2. Go to class. You will hear this everyday leading up to the first day. I thought this didn’t apply to me and I have had to take multiple classes over again which might lead to be graduating late. Just go and pass the class the first time.
3. My roommate and I were good friends until we randomly decided to do a road trip. We blew a flat tire and were stuck on the side of the road for 3 hours. We told each other everything. We are still bestfriends to this day and we became so close she was my biggest support system freshman year.
4. Do not get a pet!!!! You will be gone more than you think and the pet will be so sad locked in its cage and there isn’t much room to run around. And it’s expensive and you will be broke.
5. It’s super important to keep up with your high school friends and visit each other. Never stop pouring into the good long lasting friendships.
6. Don’t be afraid to go up and talk to random boys or ask them for their snap/ number. Be bold. I asked my now boyfriend on one of my date nights just for fun and we have been dating for almost 2 years!!
