It’s A Superpower After All

Living with autism offers a perspective that many might not immediately understand, but it truly can be regarded as a superpower. The phrase "Sorry, she's autistic" is one I've heard far too often, and I’ve made a choice to reject it completely. We are not something to apologize for; instead, we should celebrate neurological differences that contribute to the diversity of human experience. Autism often means seeing the world through a different lens, which can lead to innovative ideas and fresh ways of approaching life’s challenges. I’ve found that embracing my identity without shame or apology has been transformative. It encourages open conversations about what it really means to be autistic and helps dismantle harmful stereotypes. Whether it’s in social settings, education, or the workplace, recognizing the strengths associated with autism can create more inclusive environments where everyone has the chance to thrive.
