How did I miss a good series like Reply 1988?
Pamper people Gen x, Gen Y.
Virtual movies take us back to 1988.
At first it was thought to be just a retro series about Korean teenage life in 1988, but as soon as possible, it wasn't just about Korea, it was the story of a childhood that many people had together.
The age of no mobile, no social, no online world to watch all the time, we spent time running in front of the house, making friends' shots, kicking balls, cycling, playing hide, secretly, watching movies together, laughing, quarreling and growing together.
Reply 1988 tells the story of five families living in the same alley through friendship, love, dreams, and warm family relationships, the love that fathers, mothers have for their children, that sometimes makes me sit in tears without knowing it. 😅
The movie goes into small everyday details that remind us of our parents, neighbors, generosity, close friends, and moments that never go back.
Many scenes remind me of the Thai society of childhood, when the neighborhood was known, children came out to play in front of the house every evening, and the word friend was a real person who grew up together.
Another thing to admit, this series promotes Korean food very well, especially the scene of eating hot ramyeon in an aluminum pot, or the scene where everyone is sitting around eating together. The more you watch late at night, the more you suffer because you want to eat after you look at the saliva. Sometimes you can't wait to walk to boil water.
No more spoilers. If your friends are looking for a reage series, one that looks smiling, laughing, warm, appreciative and misses the old days, Reply 1988 is one of the best things to miss. There are actually 20 EPs.
