Day in a life with a German Shepherd
🌅 Morning
• 6:30 AM – Wake-up cuddle session (your German Shepherd is already at the foot of your bed or nudging you for attention)
• 7:00 AM – Morning walk (30–45 minutes; brisk pace, sniff stops, some training reinforcement like “heel” or “sit”)
• 7:45 AM – Breakfast (high-quality kibble or a vet-approved raw/fresh food diet)
• 8:00 AM – Quick play session (tug-of-war or fetch in the yard)
• 8:30 AM – Settle time as you start work or leave the house (give a puzzle toy or frozen treat to keep them busy)
⸻
☀️ Midday
• 12:00 PM – Potty break and short walk (10–15 minutes for mental stimulation)
• 12:30 PM – Obedience or trick training session (5–10 minutes; German Shepherds thrive on mental work)
• 1:00 PM – Relaxation/nap time (they’ll lounge nearby, always alert)
⸻
🌇 Evening
• 5:30 PM – Long walk, jog, or trip to the dog park (burn that high energy!)
• 6:30 PM – Dinner time
• 7:00 PM – Grooming (brushing to manage shedding, checking ears/paws)
• 7:30 PM – Chill time with the family (TV cuddles, chew toys, companionship)
