Ephesians 3:20 KJV is a powerful reminder of God’s unlimited power and ability to work beyond what we can imagine.
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
💕 Breaking it down
“Now unto him that is able…”
This points our attention back to God. It reminds us that our confidence shouldn’t rest solely on what we can accomplish—we serve a God who is able.
“To do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think…”
God can do far more than we ask Him for or even imagine for ourselves. Our prayers and dreams have limits because we’re human; God’s ability does not.
It doesn’t mean God will give us everything we want exactly when we want it. Rather, it reminds us that His power and plans are greater than our understanding.
“According to the power that worketh in us…”
God’s power is not distant. Through the Holy Spirit, faith, and His work in our lives, He is actively working within us, changing us and enabling us to accomplish things we couldn’t do on our own.

“Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
Paul ends by directing the glory back to God.
In other words:
God is able.
God is working.
God can exceed our expectations.
And when He does, the glory belongs to Him.

You may be looking at a situation and thinking, “I don’t see how this can work out.”
Ephesians 3:20 says, essentially:
You don’t have to see the whole path to trust the One who does.
Your vision has a limit.
Your resources have a limit.
Your understanding has a limit.
God’s ability has no limit.
So keep praying. Keep believing. Keep walking in faith—and leave room for God to do something greater than what you thought was possible.
