Running a brand taught me about my career

Working on mindprint, a brand all about CAREER CLARITY, ironically gave me more clarity than I ever expected.

By day I work in public health Ai, building tools that help improve healthcare access.

Its mission- driven, future-focused work, but even in that field, I noticed something:

A lot of brilliant, passionate people are still deeply confused about their own careers.

(Previously me)

So working on mindprint, I thought would just help others but the more I researched and wrote and designed content around gen z’s work struggles (burnout, overachievement, perfectionism, confusion), the more I realized I was talking to myself too

I learned that im not built for traditional 9-5s

That I crave purpose, freedom, and flexibility

That I don’t JUST want a good job, I want to build a meaningful life.

This clarity didn’t come from a coach or a career counselor, it came from observation, from creating something I needed myself. From sitting with the discomfort and turning it into something useful.

So yes, I’m working in AI, yes, I am running a career brand. But I’m also figuring it out in real time- just like you might be!

... Read moreIt's truly wild how often the advice we give to others ends up being the exact wisdom we needed all along. Just like in the image where it says, 'Helping others figure out their career helped me fix my own,' my journey with 'mindprint' was a powerful mirror. When I started digging deep into the struggles Gen Z faces—burnout, perfectionism, the sheer confusion about what to do next—I wasn't just researching for an audience; I was actively piecing together my own puzzle. This unexpected path to 'Build Career Clarity' wasn't linear, and it certainly didn't come from a textbook. For anyone out there feeling that same sense of being stuck, that yearning for something more than just a paycheck, I’ve realized a few things that truly shifted my perspective. First, it’s crucial to sit with the discomfort. That feeling of 'this isn't quite right' is a vital signal. Don't push it away; lean into it. Ask yourself: what specifically feels off? Is it the lack of autonomy, the absence of a clear mission, or the rigid structure of a 9-5? For me, recognizing I craved purpose, freedom, and flexibility was the first step towards understanding I wasn't built for a traditional corporate ladder. Next, consider where your natural curiosity leads you. My dive into 'mindprint' wasn't initially for my own clarity, but it became that. What side projects, volunteering, or learning opportunities genuinely excite you, even if they don't seem directly related to your current job? These are often breadcrumbs leading you to your true calling. It's about 'Finding Your Purpose Through Every Step,' even the seemingly unrelated ones. Every new skill learned, every new person met, every challenge overcome in these passion projects builds a clearer picture of what you truly value and what you're good at. Don't be afraid to redefine success on your own terms. The world often tells us what a 'good job' looks like, but a meaningful life might look entirely different for you. For me, it's not just about a prestigious title or a high salary; it's about impact, autonomy, and aligning my work with my deepest values. This doesn't mean abandoning stability, but rather strategically building a life that supports what truly matters to you. Finally, remember that career clarity is an ongoing process, not a destination. Even now, working in public health AI and running 'mindprint,' I’m still 'figuring it out in real time.' The beauty of this journey is that it's uniquely yours. Embrace the learning, the pivots, and the unexpected detours. When you help others navigate their own paths, or simply observe their journeys, you often gain profound insights into your own. It's a continuous loop of giving and receiving wisdom, ultimately guiding you to that fulfilling, purpose-driven life you're seeking.
