we LOVE these customised wedding blind boxes 😍😍
One thing we really wanted for our wedding was for our door gifts to feel personal and meaningful — not just something generic, but something that reflected us as a couple 🤍
We decided to customise blind boxes for our guests, and filled them with some of our favourite things! Inside each box were different flavours of T’s favourite coffee capsules from The Brew Therapy ☕️ and J’s all-time favourite madeleines from Cat in the Hat Bakery 🥰
We loved the idea of sharing a little piece of ourselves with our guests through the things we genuinely enjoy in our daily lives.
The blind boxes were also surprisingly spacious! At 10cm x 10cm x 15cm, they fit both the coffee capsules and madeleines comfortably, with room to spare.
To make them even more special, we customised every detail of the box:
✨ Our personalised couple illustrations
✨ Our pre-wedding shoot photos
✨ A heartfelt thank-you message to our guests
We wanted our guests to feel appreciated from the moment they received the gift, and hopefully bring home a small keepsake from our wedding day 🫶🏻
Looking back, this was one of our favourite wedding DIY projects because it brought together so many things we love — good coffee, good food, meaningful memories, and thoughtful details.
If you’re currently planning your wedding and looking for unique door gift ideas, customised blind boxes are definitely something worth considering! They can be personalised to fit your wedding theme and filled with items that tell your own story as a couple 🤍

If you’re considering blind boxes for your wedding, here are some tips from our experience to make them even more special: First, think about items that represent you and your partner — whether it’s a favorite snack, a local delicacy, or a small handmade craft. Including these personal touches makes the gift more memorable and meaningful to your guests. Second, customising the packaging adds another layer of thoughtfulness. We used couple illustrations and photos from our pre-wedding shoot to make each box feel unique and intimate. Adding a thank-you note also creates a warm connection with your guests. Also, consider the size and practicality of your boxes. Our 10cm x 10cm x 15cm blind boxes were spacious enough to hold everything comfortably without feeling bulky, which guests appreciated. Lastly, ordering your blind boxes well in advance ensures you have time to customize and assemble them without rush. DIY projects like these can be fun but do require some planning. Overall, wedding blind boxes are a creative alternative to traditional door gifts, allowing you to share your story and gratitude in a tangible, thoughtful way that your guests will remember.
