Things i’ve Learned in Life

Some things I have learned in life.

About me: I started touring as a drummer at 18, signed a record deal and toured full time for 5 years. I have been married, divorced, been through tough traumatic experiences, started over, moved across the country and got back on my feet. I want to share some things I have learned along the way.

1. Follow your dreams and put your all into it.

2. Be selfish.

3. Love yourself.

4. Don’t be afraid to tell people what you want.

5. Hold yourself to a high standard.

6. Keep good morals and love people around you.

7. Love hard.

8. Take things slow and don’t get ahead of yourself.

9. Enjoy things as they are.

10. Don’t be afraid to take a leap.

11. Try new things.

12. Don’t allow toxic people in your life.

13. Family is very important.

14. Love your friends and family, one day they will be gone and you’d wish you would have done more or said more.

15. Don’t be afraid to fail and start over.

16. Reinvent yourself.

Throughout life, everyone encounters challenges that shape their perspective and character. It is essential to embrace these moments as opportunities for personal growth and understanding. One crucial lesson is the importance of following your dreams wholeheartedly. Pursuing passions not only fuels creativity but also infuses life with purpose and excitement. Another vital lesson is the significance of self-love. Cultivating a positive relationship with oneself forms the foundation for healthy relationships with others. It's important to recognize that being selfish in a healthy way allows individuals to prioritize their mental well-being. Similarly, having strong morals and surrounding oneself with positive influences can create meaningful relationships that last a lifetime. In addition, life teaches us that it's okay to fail. Embracing failure as part of the learning process encourages resilience and the courage to start over when necessary. Rigorous self-expectations combined with the ability to reinvent oneself can lead to extraordinary personal transformation. Ultimately, cherishing moments with loved ones makes all the difference as life is fleeting. Understanding and valuing these relationships can foster a greater appreciation for the time shared together.
