Skip Messina Gelato? Hop over to this bar space!

Messina’s queue doesn’t seem to get shorter even after months of opening in Singapore! Living in Aussie and having it every other week means I totally can understand why. Their weekly specials menu never fails to miss the tastebuds 😬 and maybe that’s why people keep coming back for new flavours! 😎 can totally see myself craving for it when am back for good.

But why not head over to Mondo instead if you want to skip Messina’s queue and want a slower, quieter place to enjoy your gelato?

🙃 FUN flavours to try/

1. blue cheese with candied pear

2. honey lavender

😌 Classics with a lil twist/

1. sicilian pistachio

2. banana salted caramel

Didn’t try their cocktails on tap since it was midday but they open till midnight on weekends, so I guess you know where to hang out! 😏

📍Address: 92 Amoy Street

. Short walk from Messina, maybe you and your friends can buy, try and compare both?

Here’s our Messina’s take

... Read moreIf you're a fan of gelato but want to avoid the busy atmosphere of Messina, Mondo is definitely worth a visit. Located just a short walk away at 92 Amoy Street, Mondo offers an intriguing selection of gelato flavors that you won't typically find elsewhere, like blue cheese with candied pear and the soothing honey lavender. These unique choices add a creative twist that makes every scoop feel like an adventure. Beyond gelato, Mondo stands out with its bar-like ambiance, serving a variety of cocktails on tap, perfect for unwinding as the evening unfolds. Though I didn’t try the cocktails during my afternoon visit, the vibrant nighttime atmosphere, especially on weekends when they stay open until midnight, makes it an ideal spot for socializing. The image text hints at a diverse menu including sorbets, coffee-based options, and craft beverages such as mulled wine and artisanal teas. This suggests Mondo is not just a gelato spot but a place that caters to varied palates – from non-coffee lovers to those craving a fancy cocktail. If you’re curious to compare, it might be fun to gather a group of friends to try both Messina and Mondo side by side. Each offers something special: Messina with its continuously rotating weekly specials and crowd-pulling popularity, and Mondo with a quieter vibe and experimental flavors. Whichever you pick, you’re in for a delicious experience in Singapore’s gelato scene.

🇸🇬 Regret not coming here sooner… this affogato is SO good!!
I kept seeing this place all over my feed and finally gave in to the hype — and honestly, it deserves it. $10 per cup — not the cheapest dessert, but I’d say it’s worth trying at least once. Honest review: 1. Pistachio was my favourite — super fragrant and paired so well with the chocolate.

2 Days in Rome 🏛️ This is what I'd do differently
I underestimated Rome. 🏛️🍕 I arrived ready to conquer the Eternal City, but I made some rookie mistakes that left me "shagged out" by day two. Rome is majestic, but the crowds and logistics are no joke. If I could redo my 48 hours in Roma, this is exactly how I would do it. Save this post
