☕️ Cafe Hopping in KL: Ghostbird Coffee Company 👻🐦‍⬛

We made a weekend trip to KL recently and, as usual, turned it into a mini #Cafehopping around the city. So many good and interesting spots everywhere!

Felly stumbled upon Ghostbird Coffee Company, sitting pretty with ⭐️4.5-star reviews, so of course we had to check it out.

🚗 First impressions:

When we arrived… confusion 😅

It literally looked like a dilapidated bungalow. Even our Grab driver was like, “Eh… is this the place?”

Then we spotted some outdoor tables and chairs.

👀 Signs of life! We were in the right place.

💛 Why we loved Ghostbird:

1️⃣ Coffee bean vending machine?!

This is genius. Cafes close early on weekdays, but if you’re having a #coffeebean emergency ☕️🚨, this vending machine is a total lifesaver.

2️⃣ Huge variety of espresso & filter beans

They even have these little squeaky air pumps for you to smell the beans, plus (diluted) tasting samples.

We spent way too long sniffing and tasting 😅

Walked out with 3 mixed bags of 100g each — zero regrets.

3️⃣ Cosy despite the crowd

The cafe was bustling but still had many comfortable corners to chill.

Bonus: 4 different types of water for you to choose from 💧

Zee swears they all taste different 🤷‍♂️

4️⃣ Desserts & bakes 🍰

We went for the Cranberry Basque #Cheesecake — saw them making it in-house 👀

Nice texture, not too heavy, though we’d personally prefer a plain version.

✨ Overall thoughts:

Amazing coffee selection (including Malaysia Liberica beans), friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a great spot for a slow, chill #weekend afternoon.

If you’re into coffee and unique cafe experiences, Ghostbird is a must-visit in KL ☕️💛

Ghostbird Coffee Company

... Read moreIf you love exploring unique coffee spots as much as we do, Ghostbird Coffee Company in KL is definitely worth your time. Beyond the standard cafe experience, the coffee bean vending machine truly stands out—it lets you grab freshly roasted beans any time you want, which is perfect for those late coffee cravings or when cafes are closed. I found myself fascinated by the variety of espresso and filter beans available to smell and sample, which made choosing a bag even more enjoyable. The ambience balances a lively crowd with cozy corners where you can relax or catch up with friends. The café's commitment to quality extends beyond coffee; the choice of four different types of drinking water might sound trivial, but it really changes the tasting experience—each has its own subtle flavor, as our friend Zee noticed. If you have a sweet tooth, you must try their in-house Cranberry Basque Cheesecake. It’s not overly rich, making it a perfect pairing with their coffee selection. One thing that surprised us was the laid-back atmosphere despite the popularity of the place. Whether you're a local or visiting KL for the first time, Ghostbird offers a welcoming and authentic coffee experience with knowledgeable staff to guide you through their offerings. Plus, they even stock Malaysia Liberica beans, which are harder to find but a delightful treat for adventurous coffee enthusiasts. All in all, Ghostbird Coffee Company makes a great stop for weekend chillouts and a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great coffee and unique cafe experiences in Malaysia.
