Pretty recently moved from Bukit Timah to their new space in the Novotel/Mercure on Stevens.
Aesthetically pleasing place with plenty of seating room, though their long table is a sharing table.
Serves cooked food till 3pm, so there were only bakes left at 5pm.
Beans are roasted in-house but my flat white didn’t quite stand out, just with the pretty standard nutty flavour.
🤩 still would go for the location, chill, and tucked away from bustling Orchard.
Having visited Pocket by Flip Coffee Roasters myself, I can attest to its charm as a cafe tucked away from the busy Orchard area. The move from Bukit Timah to the Novotel/Mercure on Stevens has given this cafe a fresh new vibe with more space and a pleasant ambiance, which really enhances the experience. The large seating area, including the communal long table, makes it a great spot whether you’re alone or with friends. One thing I noticed is that while the cooked food menu ends by 3pm, they offer a decent selection of baked goods later into the evening, which pairs nicely with their coffee. Their beans are indeed roasted in-house, providing that authentic coffee shop feel, although the flat white I tried carried a mild nutty flavor rather than bold or complex notes. Still, it’s a comforting cup for those who prefer a softer brew. This cafe is ideal if you want a quiet place to unwind, work, or catch up with friends without being overwhelmed by Orchard’s usual crowd. The peaceful setting and thoughtful layout make it a worthy new find for cafe enthusiasts.
