Am I Healed Yet?

Healing isn’t pretty.

It’s crying in the shower.

It’s outgrowing people you thought you couldn’t live without.

It’s choosing silence over reacting.

And no… I’m not fully there yet.

But I’m not where I used to be either. 🤍

I’m working on me.

My habits.

My mindset.

My discipline.

My peace.

New goals.

New milestones.

New standards.

I’m building a version of myself that doesn’t beg, chase, or settle.

A version that saves money, protects her energy, and moves with purpose.

Every day I choose growth — even on the days it hurts.

Especially on the days it hurts.

We’re almost there. 🌱

And when I get there?

It’ll be because I did the work.

... Read moreHealing is often a messy, nonlinear process that challenges us deeply, both emotionally and mentally. From my own experience, I've learned that recovery isn't about a sudden, complete fix; it's about the daily small choices that prioritize growth and self-care. One of the hardest parts of healing is allowing yourself to feel vulnerable — crying in the shower or shedding tears alone isn't a sign of weakness but a release of pain. Another difficult truth is outgrowing relationships and people you once thought were indispensable. This outgrowing process can feel like loss, but it's essential for protecting your energy and rediscovering your worth. Choosing silence over reacting is another key part of healing. Instead of engaging in negativity or conflict, I found peace by stepping back and preserving my emotional boundaries. It’s a discipline that helps maintain inner calm and focus on personal goals. The journey also involves reshaping your habits and mindset. Setting new goals, milestones, and standards means investing in a version of yourself that refuses to settle or chase after validation. For me, this meant saving money as a form of self-respect and ensuring every move was intentional and aligned with my values. It’s truly a 'growth season' — sometimes painful, sometimes inspiring — but always leading toward a better version of self. The progress may feel slow, but every day spent choosing growth is a victory. Like many on their own healing journey, I’m not fully there yet, but I’m far from where I started. If you’re struggling with healing, know this: growth often comes disguised as discomfort, but choosing yourself, protecting your peace, and steadily moving forward creates a lasting transformation. Keep going; the work you do now lays the foundation for your future peace and purpose.
