子どもを公園からスムーズに連れて帰るのは、多くの親にとって悩ましい瞬間です。私も3人の子育て経験を通し、「もう帰るよ！」と強く言い過ぎてしまい、子どもが地面にひっくり返って手がつけられなくなる場面に何度も直面しました。そんなときに19年の言語聴覚士経験から取り入れた魔法の3STEPは、本当に役立っています。 まず、選択肢を2つに絞って「1回遊ぶ？3回遊ぶ？」と子どもに聞くことで、自分で決めた感覚を持ってもらい、心の準備ができるようにします。親がすべて決めてしまうと反発が強くなりがちですが、このステップで子どもの「自己選択」を尊重しています。 次に「指」で見通しを固定する方法。口頭だけでは子どもには伝わりづらいこともありますが、遊ぶたびに親が指を折ることで視覚的に「あと何回」というカウントダウンができ、子どもも終わりを理解しやすくなります。言葉は消えても指の動きは残るので、安心感が生まれやすいのです。 最後に「終わりの儀式」を作ること。例えば「すべり台さんにバイバイタッチ！」のような物理的・視覚的な区切りを設けて、次に楽しみをセットで伝えます。「また日曜日に来ようね」「帰ったらおやつパーティーしよう」などの約束や楽しみがあると、子どもの気持ちが切り替わりやすくなります。 この3つのステップを取り入れてからは、子どもとの帰宅時のトラブルは格段に減りました。全てが完璧にできなくても大丈夫。大切なのは、子どもが「自分で決めた」「納得した」という感覚を持てることです。親である私自身も、予告ができただけで「よくやった！」と自分を褒めています。 今、イヤイヤ期の対応や公園遊びの切り上げに悩む方は、ぜひ試してみてください。子どもの脳の仕組みに寄り添いながら、リラックスして接することで、日々の子育てが少しずつラクになりますよ。困りごとがあれば、コメント欄でお知らせください。一緒に解決策を探しましょう！
