Train Your Brain To Study At A Specific Time 📖✨

We all feel productive from time to time right? But have you ever thought of training your brain to be productive at a certain time or by being in a place ?

Find a time during the day that works best for you to study daily also a place and study there at least for an hour every till your brain associates the place and the certain time of the day as your “productive time window” 📑✨. Have a certain playlist for that time, drink, certain things that gets you in the mood to study so it’s easier for your brain to associate each of those things all together as your study time!!

Motivate yourself by giving yourself a treat everyday after completing the routine. The more hard it gets to complete the routine the bigger the treat (for me it’s a stop at Sephora)

Hope you liked my little guide on making your own productive time window manipulating your brain 😜🫶🏼

... Read moreHey everyone! Building on my last post about training your brain, I wanted to dive deeper into some practical strategies that have really helped me nail my study sessions and boost my focus. It's not just about picking a time, but truly understanding how your brain works best, especially when you're aiming for that 'student studying focused brain energy'! One of the biggest game-changers for me was figuring out when my brain is naturally most alert. Are you a morning bird who can tackle complex subjects at dawn, or do you hit your stride late at night when things are quiet? I used to force myself to study in the evenings, but after experimenting with different times (just like the OCR suggested!), I realized my best brain function for deep work is actually right after lunch. Try keeping a simple journal for a week, noting down when you feel most sharp and focused. This helps you identify your personal 'best time for brain to study' without guessing or just following what others do. Finding your unique rhythm is key! Once you've got your time window, how do you sustain that focus? This is where study timers become your best friend, especially the Pomodoro Technique, or as some call it, the '25/5 rule' or 'study timer 25 5 method'. I was skeptical at first, but it's genius! You set a 'student focused study session timer' for 25 minutes of intense, distraction-free study, followed by a 5-minute break. After four 'pomodoros,' you take a longer break (15-30 minutes). This method has been a lifesaver for my focus, keeping 'my brain when studying' from getting overwhelmed and preventing burnout. Plus, those short, intentional breaks are perfect for stretching, grabbing water, or even a quick powernap, helping to maintain that 'student studying focused brain energy.' The OCR also highlighted the importance of 'take powernaps' – sometimes just 15-20 minutes can reset my brain completely! Beyond timed sessions, a few other things keep my 'focused brain energy' high. I learned from the OCR that 'buying your favourite drink or having water' is so simple but so effective for hydration and mental clarity. I always have my water bottle or a cup of tea nearby. I also make sure my study space is truly 'a comfortable place' that inspires me, whether it's my desk at home or a quiet corner in a coffee shop. And yes, sometimes 'listening to podcasts' during non-study breaks helps refresh my mind without completely disengaging, giving my brain a different kind of stimulation. Finally, for those days when motivation is nowhere to be found, I swear by the '5 minute rule studying.' It's simple: commit to studying for just five minutes. If after five minutes you're still not feeling it, you can stop. But honestly, 90% of the time, once I start, I get into a flow, and those five minutes turn into a productive hour. It tricks your brain past the initial resistance and makes getting started so much easier. These strategies, from finding your optimal study time to using techniques like Pomodoro and the 5-minute rule, have been instrumental in transforming my study habits. I hope these insights help you build your own incredibly productive and focused study routine!
