What to know for your next brand deal call

Brand calls can be extremely intimidating but also have SO MUCH value for you and the brand!

🌸 Research the brand

Check out the brands website, socials, and see what you can do to add or improve it.

🌸Prepare questions

This will show them how much you want to understand the brand and what they want you to deliver.

🌸Know what you have to offer

Some brands will ask you what plan you have or any ideas you have for their company. Jot down a few ideas or inspiration just incase.

🌸Have your rate card available

🌸MOST IMPORTANT

Don’t stress! It can seem intimidating, but just be your normal self. That is who they want to meet! Nothing bad will happen if the deal doesn’t work out, you forget it and move on to the next call. Don’t let yourself get psyched out!

... Read moreIn today's competitive market, mastering brand deal calls is crucial for content creators. Start by thoroughly researching the brand—understand their vision, recent campaigns, and audience engagement strategies. This knowledge will empower you to tailor your approach and suggest specific improvements. Preparing thoughtful questions not only showcases your genuine interest but also helps you gauge the brand's expectations effectively. Be ready to articulate your unique offerings. Whether it's innovative content ideas, social media strategies, or collaboration concepts, a well-prepared pitch can set you apart. Having a rate card accessible during the call ensures you are transparent about your fees, which helps avoid any confusion later on. Lastly, remember that confidence is key. Brands are interested in your authentic self; they want to understand who you are as a creator. If you feel jittery, channel that energy into enthusiasm for the collaboration. It's essential to approach each conversation with a growth mindset—if one deal doesn’t pan out, view it as a stepping stone to the next opportunity. By adopting these practices, you’ll not only enhance your prospects of securing deals but also build lasting professional relationships.
