I have sensitive skin, dark marks, and stress shows up on my face fast.

So I stopped abusing my skin trying to “fix it” and started listening to it.

A lot of hyperpigmentation on Black skin isn’t just about products — it’s about:

• over-exfoliating

• rushing results

• ignoring hydration

• stressing the skin barrier

• AND stressing ourselves

This routine is about calm, consistency, and protection — not burning my face off.

🧠 What I Had to Learn the Hard Way

• Burning ≠ working

• Dry skin heals slower

• Overdoing actives makes dark marks darker

• Calm skin = clear skin

• Stress shows up on Black skin fast

Once I focused on hydration + barrier protection, my hyperpigmentation stopped getting worse — and slowly started fading.
