Major Police incident in #Melbourne #Australia after a pedestrian is dead and another left clinging to life after a car drove onto a path outside a popular fan convention Supanova Comic Con.

A grey Toyota hit two pedestrians as it mounted a kerb at Melbourne Showgrounds in Ascot Vale on Saturday evening Australia time during the first night of the Supanova expo.

One died at the scene and the other was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officers have arrested a man, who is set to be interviewed by police, and investigations are ongoing. #SupanovaComicCon2026
