Looking back at the Class of 2017's Mannequin Challenge takes me back to some of the most entertaining moments during our senior year. The challenge was everywhere in 2016 and 2017, especially in Arizona where many schools and groups participated eagerly. It was a fun way to bond with classmates and showcase creativity while freezing in place like mannequins. Personally, joining in on the Mannequin Challenge gave me a chance to take a break from the stresses of senior year. We recorded our challenge in various spots around campus–from the hallways to the quad–each providing a unique backdrop that added to the atmosphere. People would creatively pose, sometimes holding props or mimicking everyday actions, which made watching these videos later hilarious and nostalgic. Beyond just having fun, the Mannequin Challenge helped strengthen our community spirit. It encouraged teamwork since we had to coordinate our movements perfectly to create seamless videos. Also, it was exciting to share our creations on social media using hashtags like #fyp and #Arizona, connecting us with others who were part of the trend worldwide. Challenges like these demonstrate how social media trends can foster real-life connections and create lasting memories.
