🌹 Feeling romantic?!

This month’s new scent is Phlur’s Rose Whip. Notes of rose, pink pepper, black currant and cashmere wood. If you’re a rose girlie then you’ll love it. It’s not per se a typical rose. This one is feminine and fierce but also delicate. It’s not a beast mode rose. This has more of an intimate scent bubble. That makes it perfect for date night! I’ll see how it wears and try some layering options. Keep you posted.

... Read moreOkay, so after my initial sniff test and wearing Phlur's Rose Whip for a bit, I've got even more thoughts to share about these beautiful notes! If you're like me and constantly searching for what truly makes a fragrance special, especially one that claims to be a unique rose, then you'll want to dive deeper into its composition. First off, the rose in Phlur Rose Whip isn't that traditional, heavy, powdery rose you might be used to. It's a fresh, almost dewy rose, like a rose just picked at dawn. It’s vibrant and truly feels modern. This is where the magic of the supporting notes comes in. The pink pepper isn't just a background player; it provides this effervescent, slightly spicy lift that prevents the rose from ever feeling flat or too sweet. It adds a sparkling quality, making the opening feel bright and invigorating. Then, there's the black currant. Oh, the black currant! It introduces a subtle, juicy tartness with a hint of greenness that perfectly complements the fresh rose. It adds a sophisticated fruitiness without being overly sweet or cloying, enhancing the 'fierce' yet 'delicate' balance the original article mentioned. This note is key to making it 'not per se a typical rose' – it gives it a contemporary edge. Finally, the cashmere wood anchors the fragrance, providing that incredibly soft, warm, and slightly musky dry-down. This is what contributes to the 'intimate scent bubble' and makes the fragrance feel so comforting and alluring, especially as it settles on your skin. As an EAU DE PARFUM, I've found that these woody notes help give it a decent longevity, lingering for a good 4-6 hours on my skin, evolving beautifully as the day progresses. This harmonious blend truly creates a scent that is undeniably feminine but with an underlying strength. It’s not a projector that announces your arrival, but rather a sophisticated whisper that invites closeness. While it's perfect for date night, I've also found myself reaching for it on cozy evenings at home or even for a subtle pick-me-up during the day when I want to feel elegant and put-together without overwhelming anyone. It’s versatile in its intimacy. And about layering! I’ve been experimenting a bit. For an extra touch of sweetness and warmth, I love layering it over a vanilla or amber-scented body lotion. If you want to lean into the rose aspect even more, a sheer rose body oil or a clean, subtle musk fragrance can add depth without competing with the unique profile of Phlur Rose Whip. It's a delightful fragrance that truly stands out in the crowded world of rose scents, offering something nuanced and wonderfully romantic.
