✨🌸 10 Ways to Restart this Spring

With weather warming up slightly, all the rain, new blooms 🌿 🌸 it’s time to start our reset!!

1. Take a break: Step back from your current situation and take some time to rest and recharge. This can help you gain a fresh perspective and renew your energy. Sometimes all the events of the past fall/winter can make us feel stuck/overwhelmed. Notice this is the past, step back, gain new perspective! You deserve to feel liberated and at ease!!

2. Reflect on your values and priorities: Identify what's most important to you in life, such as family, career, health, or personal growth. This can help you set meaningful goals and make decisions that align with your values. Some values may even align with your passions/interests, your spirituality, or career. When reflecting on your values and priorities, note if there are any changes. Accept them - you are growing!!

3. Explore your passions and interests: Make a list of activities that bring you joy and fulfillment, and consider how you can incorporate them into your life. This can help you find a sense of purpose and direction. Activities such as arts and crafts, dancing, swimming, volunteering, teaching, and outdoor activities are all great places to start!! You may even meet some cool people!!!

4. Set achievable goals: Break down your goals into smaller, manageable steps and create a plan of action to achieve them. Celebrate your progress along the way to stay motivated. Take progress photos, keep a journal of your wins, and always celebrate every victory, big or small!!

5. Seek support: Reach out to trusted friends, family members, or a mental health professional for guidance and encouragement. You don't have to go through this alone. There are several women on L8 who are supportive, and you can find other likeminded individuals through Meetup.com

6. Try new things: Step out of your comfort zone and try new activities, hobbies, or experiences. This can help you discover new passions and gain confidence. That dance class you want to take? That karaoke sesh your friends have been begging you to go to?? Do it!!

7. Practice self-care: Take care of your physical and mental well-being by exercising, eating well, getting enough sleep, and practicing stress-relief techniques. Sometimes, just a quick facial mask and brushing your teeth can help reset you for a better day!!

8. Consider a career change: If you're feeling unfulfilled in your current job, explore new career options that align with your interests, skills, and values. Also, look at Alison Courses for free skill development!!

9. Declutter and simplify: Simplify your life by decluttering your physical and mental space. This includes dumping toxic social media. This can help you feel more organized, focused, and in control. Check out some of my ADHD friendly chore sheets!!

10. Practice gratitude: Reflect on the things you're grateful for in life, even if they seem small or insignificant. Practicing gratitude can improve your mood and shift your focus to the positive aspects of your life. If you have Apple, you can use the Journal feature which gives amazing gratitude prompts!

🤗 Feeling lost is a natural part of life, and it's never too late to make a change or start over. Take one step at a time, be patient with yourself, and don't be afraid to ask for help along the way!!

Consider the importance of taking breaks; stepping back allows you to recharge and approach challenges with a fresh perspective. This period of introspection can help you identify what truly matters in your life, aligning your goals with your core values such as family, health, and personal development. Diving into hobbies that bring you joy can infuse your life with purpose. Activities like painting, dancing, or even volunteering not only spark happiness but also create connections with like-minded individuals. Don't shy away from trying new things that push you out of your comfort zone—this can pave the way for new passions and boost your self-confidence. Remember, self-care is crucial. Prioritize your mental and physical wellness through healthy habits like exercise, good nutrition, and sufficient sleep. Taking small yet consistent actions can greatly enhance your overall well-being. If a career change or skill development is on your mind, use resources like online courses to expand your skill set. Moreover, decluttering both your physical space and mental landscape can create an organized environment that fosters clarity and focus. Lastly, practicing gratitude helps shift your mindset towards positivity, reminding you of the abundant joys in life.
