The trend that everyone did! I tried!
Hello, my first attempt not bad! Recipe?
What you need:
2 lbs chuck roast
1 big onion
2 Jalapeño
2 tomatoes
A few dried chilli peppers (without seeds)
2 Mexican chilies
6 gloves of garlic
Lime or lemon
Red onion (diced)
Cilantro for sauce
S/p, garlic and onion powder
Paprika
chicken consummate
chilli flakes
How to make:
Fry the roast on high heat till you see fried color on both sides, add water till the top of the meat, throw in few bay leaves s/p and let it cook for 3-4 hrs or till it breaks apart.
While that’s boiling, take another bowl and boil the onion, tomatoes, all the chillis and take cup of the water you boiled your chilies and blend well. After one hr of the meat boiling, strain the chilli to the meat and let it cook.
Once it’s cooked and smells divine 😏, take small tortilla and dip it like literally do it to cover it all and fry it in a skillet or flat electric iron u have, let it be crispy at the mean time add your cheese, the meat, diced tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, oh and don’t forget the lemon or lime. Squeeze and make your own sauce from the meat sauce, add diced red onions, cilantro and squeeze of lemon or lime. Dip and eat it like you mean it. lol #youllthankmelater #followformore #like #enjoy #birriataco
Birria tacos have become a viral food sensation, beloved for their rich flavors and satisfying textures. Originating from the Mexican state of Jalisco, birria traditionally features slow-cooked meat in a flavorful chili-based broth. Using chuck roast makes this recipe both accessible and affordable, as this cut becomes tender and juicy after hours of slow cooking. The key to authentic birria flavor lies in the mix of dried chilies like guajillo or ancho (here represented by dried chili peppers and Mexican chilies), combined with fresh ingredients like jalapeños and garlic. Blending these ingredients into a smooth sauce that simmers with the meat infuses every bite with complex spice and warmth. Adding bay leaves and chicken consommé enhances the broth, balancing heat with subtle depth. Once the meat is fork-tender, assembling your tacos is an art of layering textures and tastes. Dipping small tortillas into the birria broth before frying gives them a crispy, flavorful exterior that perfectly contrasts with the savory meat and fresh toppings like diced tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, red onion, and fresh cilantro. A squeeze of lime or lemon adds a refreshing brightness that cuts through the richness. Making your own dipping sauce with the strained meat broth, combined with diced red onions, cilantro, and citrus juice, elevates these tacos to the next level. This sauce is great for dipping the tacos or drizzling on top to intensify every bite. For those looking to recreate this trend at home, remember to allow plenty of time for slow cooking—birria really benefits from patience. Experiment with the chili blend to match your preferred heat level. Serve birria tacos with sides like Mexican rice, beans, or a fresh salad for a complete meal. Overall, this birria taco recipe brings together traditional Mexican flavors with a personal twist, making it a must-try for taco enthusiasts and home cooks wanting to join in on a trending culinary experience. #birriataco #youllthankmelater #enjoy
