Moonflower murders
It's an investigative novel, structured like two stories at once, but in one book.
It tells through 2 story lines: a current story in which Susan is hired to investigate the truth about Cecily's disappearance, and another is "Alan Conway's Book," in which Susan is an editor and has hints at past cases, including telling where Cecily has gone, with Susan investigating alongside reading the content of the book within the story.
Of course we have to act as Susan reads that to find clues to go with it.
A lot of character. A lot of suspicious.
There's a vibe Agatha Christie at the trial, everyone's gathered in the room, and there's someone who solves the case to give a lecture.
It's a little too long, tired, with another story piled up, like we've read two full books, no short.
Finally, I like the story inside more than the main story. Seriously.
