Trusting God in my waiting season

#godheals #biblicalaffirmations #lemon8diaries

I was born with multiple congenital heart diseases. I’ve had three major open-heart surgeries before I was four, and was told throughout my whole adolescence, what I could and shouldn’t do. My life expectancy has pushed past the limits. And I am in the top percentile of my case (age & gender). Being born with a chronic terminal illness as a female is different than male. At some point pregnancy enters the conversation and I was told for a long time that my heart was too weak, eventually my liver had also taken enough damage that specialist advised against pregnancy. But by the grace of God and my perseverance, the work I have to put in myself, I was cleared to stop taking my heart medication (that would be harmful to the baby) and begin my trying season.

Years before I met my husband I prayed to God about what kind of man I wanted to marry. I’ll just say that my husband is the total package 🧡. I had an inclination that I would marry at 22 and have children by 25. A few years later, my husband and I married shortly after my 22nd birthday. Before my husband and I tied the knot, I had two dreams of giving birth and seeing myself with my now husband, raising children. But I have had to overcome a lot of trauma and spiritual bondage and bad habits to get to where I am now.

I struggle with fear, addiction, and doubt. All tools from the enemy to destroy what God has blessed me with. I come to the Internet today to declare my faith in God‘s promises. I declare the blood of Christ over my mind and mouth. I am very hopeful that I will get pregnant and become a mother before 25, becoming a mother to multiple children by 25. My husband and his abundantly faith-filled parents, speak the word of God over me, reminding me that children of God have authority over the flesh. They are a blessing from God in itself.

On Mother’s Day, my husband and I went to see his parents and go to church with, pictures were taken after the service. That day my husband and his dad declared agreement and claiming pregnancy over my body. An act of faith. Although I wrestle with my flesh, I believe in the Lord, who is merciful and blesses beyond what I can imagine.

... Read moreNavigating a waiting season can be challenging, especially when intertwined with health struggles and aspirations for motherhood. Trust in God is a powerful theme that resonates deeply in times of uncertainty. As I reflect on my journey with congenital heart diseases, I find that faith is not merely about waiting for promises to manifest but actively believing in the goodness and mercy of God while on this journey. Throughout my life, I have faced numerous challenges that tested my faith. The road has been paved with doctors’ opinions, surgeries, and personal doubts about what my future could hold. These hurdles often felt daunting, leading to fear and moments of despair. However, I learned that each challenge could be transformed into a stepping stone with faith as my foundation. The scriptures provide profound encouragement during these waiting periods. For instance, Romans 10:17 emphasizes that "faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Engaging with the Bible during these times has strengthened my belief and connection with God. This connection has helped me maintain a hopeful outlook despite the obstacles. Additionally, sharing this journey with my husband and his family has been invaluable. Their faith and support have served as a reminder that we are not alone in our struggles. Every declaration of faith, especially around significant occasions like Mother's Day, reinforces our collective hope and confidence in God's timing. As we stand together in faith, I am reminded of the collective power of prayer and belief in God's promises. Waiting seasons are also opportunities for growth and preparation. During this time, I have focused on personal development, overcoming addictions and fears that could hinder the blessings I await. By confronting these issues head-on, I am not just waiting for my prayers to be answered but actively participating in my healing and readiness for motherhood. In conclusion, this journey emphasizes the importance of patience, prayer, and unwavering faith in God. Whether you are navigating health issues, waiting for personal aspirations, or simply seeking reassurance in troubling times, remember that God’s timing is perfect. Embrace your waiting season with the confidence that all things work together for good for those who trust in Him. May your faith be strengthened, and may you find solace in the promise that these seasons lead to blessings beyond imagination.
