The Difference Between Soil & Peat Moss

The difference between peat mosses or seedlings

With normal soil.

🔹 Seeded peat moss.

Light texture, fluffy, sheer → easy germination seeds, quick stabbing roots

Well-watered but not perforated → constant humidity suitable for seeding

Clean, Most Sterile / Fungal → Reducing Seed Rotten Risk

Highly organic → nourishing young seedlings in the first place

Often imported, specially graded for seeding.

🔸 Plain seeded soil

Tight structure → soft roots, difficult to stab, may germinate slowly

Poor Drain → Risking Root Rotten Fungus

There are weeds or pathogens easily contaminated → seedlings are not strong.

Organic, less material → rarely nourishes young plants.

Suitable for planting grown trees rather than seeding.

📌 Brief summary

✅ if you want seeds to grow easily, strong from the beginning, you need peat moss to seed.

❌ but if using normal soil → has a higher chance of "not growing, growing slowly, or rotting."
