Butterfly”
Sometimes we bend ourselves so out of shape
That we look in the mirror and we aren’t clear on who we see before us
We place ourselves in a cocoon
And close ourselves off from our authenticity
Because there is a shallow comfort in safety
But it all starts to feel too tight and restricting
Your soul awakens, and all you want to do is fly
Then something just clicks
We spend so much time dressing ourselves in other people and their preferences
That we forget that we have our own unique taste of clothing
Our own sense of self
A fearless and undeniable sense of self that embodies every amazing thing
The yin/yang and our whole being in its entirety
Why have we hidden all our innate beauty?
To feel safe, loved, accepted
Or to stay under the radar
Afraid and anxious of what people may see when the mask falls off
But you only need to accept and love yourself
There is beauty both inside and outside of the cocoon that pushed you to grow
Through darkness and dysfunction, depth and despair
A vivid light splits through and steals you away
When you get comfortable with your own messy and beautiful self
Nothing and no-one can block you
You finally see your truth
You fall in line with the beat of your own vibration
You come out of your cocoon
A gorgeous butterfly
Many of us find ourselves trapped within the cocoon of expectations, norms, and fears, often bending ourselves out of shape to fit what others want or expect. This safe cocoon, though comforting, can feel restrictive, causing us to lose sight of who we truly are. The metaphor of the butterfly perfectly captures the essence of this transformation — emerging from darkness, confusion, and self-doubt into light, beauty, and clarity. When we align with our own vibration and embrace the messy, beautiful complexity within us, we set ourselves free. Authenticity is not about perfection; it's about accepting and loving every part of our identity, including our shadows and strengths. It requires courage to shed the masks we wear to feel safe, loved, or accepted by others. Yet, true freedom comes from loving ourselves unconditionally, without the need for external validation. In this journey, remember that your unique 'taste of clothing' refers to your distinctive personality, values, and desires. It means celebrating what makes you different rather than conforming to a prescribed mold. Just like the yin/yang symbol embodies balance and wholeness, accepting all aspects of your being will bring harmony and strength. Overcoming anxiety about judgment and fear of exposure is essential. The cocoon pushed you to grow, even through discomfort and despair, and now, that vivid light breaking through invites you to fly. Your truth is your power — once you accept it, nothing can block your path to fulfillment and happiness. This transformation is ongoing and deeply personal but sharing your story and connecting with supportive communities can strengthen your resolve. Remember the hashtags #YouAreNeverAlone, #YouAreInGoodHands, #YouAreBeautifulStrongKind, and #YouAreImportantLovedWanted as reminders that support and kindness exist on your path. Ultimately, becoming a gorgeous butterfly symbolizes rebirth and self-liberation. Embrace your journey with patience and compassion, knowing that stepping into your authenticity is the most beautiful gift you can give to yourself and the world.
